OVERVIEW

Kim Emery is a strong entrepreneur with over 10 years experience in Real Estate Sales, Leasing, Marketing, Land Development and Residential Construction.

Mrs. Emery developed a $2 million custom home from land acquisition to “C of O”. She was personally responsible for coordinating all of the following: land acquisition; finance (from land loan to construction loan and all contractor’s payments); building design; architects; engineers (civil and structural); all City Departments (planning, building, public works departments); Department of Oil & Gas and environmental clearance; project budget; bidding, hiring and management of all subcontractors; materials selection and purchasing; contracts; unconditional lien releases, virtually all aspects of residential development and construction including bringing in all services (electrical, sewer, water, gas, cable, telephone, street, sidewalk, curb, gutter and alley improvements).

CAREER HISTORY / PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

Mrs. Emery joined Charles Dunn Company in their Long Beach Office as an Associate in March 2007. Prior to joining Charles Dunn Company, Mrs. Emery was employed with INCO Commercial Real Estate, Inc. dba INCO Company. Prior to INCO, Mrs. Emery worked at Cushman & Wakefield of California, Inc. and Matlow-Kennedy Commercial Real Estate.

As a broker with INCO Company Mrs. Emery’s primary focus was assisting clients in their investment purchases and sales. Also during this time, she began her CCIM designation. A CCIM member is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate, is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user, and is among an elite corps of professionals across North America who holds the CCIM designation. She completed both the Financial Analysis and Market Analysis courses and has plans to take the remaining two courses June 11 – 15 and November 12 – 16 of 2007.

At Cushman & Wakefield and Matlow-Kennedy, Mrs. Emery partnered herself with a strong team that collectively carried over 53 years of experience in lease and sale transactions representing Sellers, Buyers, Lessors & Lessees. Combined, their team had been involved in over approximately 3,350 transactions. These transactions range in size up to 200,000 square feet. A sample of the tenants represented include Canon Information Systems, Keesal Young & Logan, Ultramar/Diamond Shamrock, The Designory, AT&T, Starkist Seafoods, and Allstate Insurance just to name a few. A partial list of buildings marketed for lease and/or sale include the World Trade Center, 444 W. Ocean, 180 East Ocean, 400 Oceangate (Union Bank Building), One Golden Shore, 11 Golden Shore I & II, 5150 East Pacific Coast Highway (Park Tower), Circle Business Centers I & II, Wing Business Park and Wing Office Park, 5000 & 5001 irport Plaza Drive, and 110 Pine.

Her individual efforts were focused on business development and corporate services where she tailored the firm's comprehensive capabilities to create an individualized service delivery process that assists the corporate client in achieving its real estate objectives.

She performed services on behalf of numerous private investors, users, and corporate clients such as SCAN Health Plan, Pioneer Medical Group, Paragon Steel, Direct Sourcing Associates, Inc. (a subsidiary of Skechers), Colonial Life Insurance, American Express Financial Advisors, American General, City of Long Beach, Children’s Home Society, CNS Response, Communication Workers of America, Waters & Krause, i-mobius and Krupp Ajay.

Mrs. Emery assisted influential leaders of companies such as Deloitte & Touche, Sony, Raytheon, Taco Bell, Freedom Communications, Boeing, Conexant, Arco and numerous emerging companies and non-profits to further strengthen their purpose and leadership of self and others. She designed, implemented and managed the business office while responsible for individual projects including: marketing, web site design and maintenance, book publishing, speaking engagements, workshops and retreats, PCMA annual conferences, PCMA monthly meetings and advisory board meetings. She trained and supervised new employees in database management, scheduling and MBA student interactions.
